Joanne Vine

Hi, I am Joanne Vine but everyone calls me Jo. I began my journey as a presenter with STA FM about 8 years ago and have loved every minute of my time presenting on the radio. You can hear me every Tuesday from 12midday to 3pm presenting “Upbeat Groove” and STA Quizbusters. Listening to the Upbeat Groove, you will hear a variety of upbeat classics from decades past right up to today’s current hits along with STA Quizbusters, a 10-question trivia quiz with a different theme every week, popping up after the 2pm news giving listeners a chance to call up and join me on air for some trivia fun. The most enjoyable part of presenting is the engagement I experience with our listeners, contributing to the building STA FM’s relationship with the community. Over the years, my involvement hasn’t always been just as a presenter. I have also held the Secretary position on the Management Committee and having enjoyed helping behind the scenes towards STA FM’s success. My favourite music genre is the 70s. This was a fantastic decade that produced some great classics and bands. I sometimes feel like I’m stuck in a 70s-time warp. Outside of radio, my husband and I farm sheep, goats and bees on our property between Ashford and Emmaville. I am also an active member of the Rural Fire Service with the Ashford Brigade and an active member of the Ashford Show Society and the Ashford Show Trust.
