Inverell Locals experienced a power outage yesterday which affected residents in the Ross Hill vicinity.

At around 2.05pm, just under 1000 residents were affected by the outage, with a spokesperson from Essential Energy saying that upon receiving reports, workers identified the problem as a broken wire. Power was restored just after 3.30pm yesterday.

Essential Energy have urged residents that if they see cut or fallen power lines to stay well clear and call 13 20 80, or Triple Zero if the situation is life threatening.
