Northern Tablelands elected MP Brendan Moylan is hoping to establish a satellite office in Inverell in a few months’ time once the writs are issued and he is formally recognised as the local member on Friday July 12th.
Mr Moylan recorded a resounding win at the June 22nd Northern Tablelands By-Election
Speaking on STA FM this morning, Mr Moylan says the satellite office will be open initially for 2 days a week to allow local and outlying residents in the Inverell district to come to the Inverell office instead of travelling to offices in Moree and Armidale.
Mr Moylan says the idea of a satellite office in Inverell follows discussions with voters during the recent election campaign adding the town is a major centre in the Northern tablelands that he believes requires a local office.
He says they’re currently investigating suitable sites to set up an office in Inverell to make himself accessible to the community in hearing local issues.
