Another big turnout is expected on the weekend for the Inverell Poultry Club Annual Show taking place this Saturday 29th June.

Penning will start at about 6:00 am followed by Judging from 9:00am with over 600 birds of many breeds set to make the judging a challenge including Hard feather, soft feather, large and bantam; This year’s feather breed will be Cochin soft feather and black red dark leg old English game hard feather.

Many breeders will be visiting the Shire coming as far away as Cobar, Walgett, Kempsey and Tamworth, putting their best birds on show for a share in over $2500 in prize money and awards.

Club president Darren Bailey says this should be a great day with a large number of breeds battling it out for bird of show, with Mr Bailey also adding his appreciation for the large number of sponsors that have made it possible to put on this great show.

More information and results from the show can be found by heading to the Inverell Poultry Club Facebook page.
