Inverell Highlanders Go Down in Moree

The Inverell Highlanders made a return to the pitch after a 3 week bye travelling to Moree to take on the Bulls in Round 12 Central North Rugby Union action over the weekend.

The Highlanders 1st grade team gave it their best but were unable to topple the competition leaders, with the Bulls winning the game 41-33.

The Highlanders remain in 4th spot on the ladder despite the loss but have Quirindi breathing down their necks, just two point behind.

In the other 1st grade game, Narrabri Blue Boars were too good for Gunnedah 43-24

In the reserve grade, Moree Bulls flexed their muscle over the Inverell Highlanders winning 31-5 while the Quirindi Lions defeated the Barraba Rams 28-17.

In the Central North Women’s 10s, the Narrabri Blue Boars dominated the Gunnedah Red Devils with a 43-5 victory, while it was a close match between the Tamworth Pirates Women’s against the Scone Brumbies, with the Pirates just edging the win 29-22.
