Highlanders Faulter

by | Jul 8, 2024 | Sport | 0 comments

The Inverell Highlanders have fallen out of the top 4 on the Central North Rugby Competition ladder after going down to the Quirindi Lions 45-29 at Rugby Park on Saturday.

In what was a must win game, the Highlanders faltered in defence and had opportunities to score through the 2nd half but couldn’t penetrate the Quirindi backline.

The prospects of jumping back into the four will be made harder this weekend when they travel to Tamworth to tackle rivals Pirates.

In the other Round 13 result, competition leaders Moree Bulls kept Gunnedah Red Devils scoreless, winning 40-nil while

It wasn’t a great day for the Highlanders with their Reserve Grade team going down as well to Quirindi 37-20
