The 39th Guyra Lamb and Potato Festival has kicked off with the town’s population set to grow over the next week.
Festival President Steve Mepham says the start of the festival has been quite busy with many travellers stopping in Guyra on their way to Tamworth for the music festival.
Mr Mepham says this weekend and next week will be dominated by the music program as well as the market and food stalls in the gazebo adding they’re already needing to order more food after selling out over the opening two days.
He says the big events will be held next week including the Show and Shine Car show and the Antique Machinery Rally next weekend.
