Group 19 Rugby League

by | Jul 1, 2024 | Sport | 0 comments

It was a tight and close game in the Men’s Group 19 Rugby League match between the Moree Boomerangs and the Inverell Hawks yesterday.

The Hawks travelled out to Moree with hopes that wet and slippery conditions would play into the Hawk’s favour, however the ‘Rangs just managed to hold off the visitors winning the game 40-36.

In the other Men’s games, the Warialda Wombats gave the Tingha Tigers a thumping with a 50-12 win, the Narwan Eels gave a mighty upset against the Armidale Rams just holding off the competition leaders 30-28, however the game to watch was the Bingara Bullets against the Walcha Roos, with the Roos dominating the 1st half of the game 22-6, only to have the Bullets surge from behind in the 2nd half winning the day 30-22.

In the Ladies League Tag, it was a high scoring affair across all games, the Narwan Eels disposing of the Armidale Rams 42-1, the Tingha Tigers ladies once again showing top form with a 40-6 victory over the Wombats, the Walcha Roos failed to score against a strong Bullets outfit 58-NIL, while the Hawks couldn’t quite match the Rangs, with Moree trumping Inverell 26-10.
