Free Mental Health and Trauma Training Session

by | Jul 11, 2024 | Community, Education | 0 comments

A free full day face-to-face Mental Health and Trauma training session will be made available for Not-for-profit volunteers of community organisations in Glen Innes next month.

With recent natural disasters and the ongoing pressures of the high cost of living, staff and volunteers have increasingly become “accidental responders”, with research showing volunteers experiencing trauma and burnout.

CEO and Founder of Benefolk Foundation Julia Keady, who will lead the training session and has experienced the Northern Rivers floods of 2022 firsthand, says the training is specifically tailored to support those who have been working so hard to help their communities get back on their feet.

The training session will take place on Friday August 2nd at the Highland Hub 167 Grey St, Glen Innes, with bookings required via the humantix website.
