AFL Northwest Inverell Saints

by | Jul 5, 2024 | Sport | 0 comments

The Inverell Saints have the opportunity to further cement top spot on the AFL Northwest competition ladder when they tackle the Tamworth Swans at No1 Oval tomorrow.

The ledger stands an 1-all this season with the Saints thumping the Swans in their latest encounter by 50 points at Varley Oval a few weeks ago.

Saints Coach Matt Harrison says his chargers will be ready for the battle but admits it should be a physical encounter with a home town grand final up for grabs for the team that finishes the home and away season on top of the ladder.

The Saints Women go in favourites against the Swans but Coach Dallas Baldwin says they won’t be taking them lightly as they prepare for the 2nd half of the season.

In the other Round 7 match, the Gunnedah Bulldogs face the Tamworth Kangaroos at Wolseley Oval.
